May 18th, so I visited the national cemetery in Mangwol-dong.
I was happy because it was the first time when the club went out, but on the other hand, I felt heavy-hearted because of the sad story that happened in Gwangju. We followed our homeroom teacher and stood in front of the cemetery and paid our respects.
While the kids were paying their respects, I actually finished paying my respects early and looked at the cemetery. I was very sad because I saw so many cemeteries beyond the mountain that I couldn't take them all in. Among them were the cemeteries of a student who was a year older than me and a child who was much younger than me.
My heart was heavy and I felt a sense of responsibility. At that time, I thought that I should emulate the spirit of the citizens on May 18th.
