봄 햇살(자외선)이 장난이 아니네요.

얼굴이 바로 탑니다.

TV 못 본지 4주차 시작.

온돌방 불 피우며,

멍!! 때리는 중입니다.

[Wild Mountain Deodeok]

The spring sunlight (UV rays) is incredibly strong. My face is getting sunburned instantly. It’s already the fourth week since I last watched TV. I’m currently spacing out while lighting a fire in the fireplace of my ondol room.

[애기 산더덕과 뱀굴]

더덕향이 코 끝을 때립니다. 이거 나두면 나중에 멧돼지가 다 파먹습니다. 

지금은 흙만 털어내고 줄기까지 다 먹는 계절입니다.

더덕캐다 뱀굴을 발견했습니다.

저녁쯤이면 사냥나간 뱀들이 모두 이 구멍을 통해 그들의 보금자리로 들어갈 겁니다.

아마, 누군가 외부인이 왔다간 것을 알겠지요. 동물이나 인간이나 똑같습니다.

나물용 칼과 더덕용 연장에 끈을 묶어놓은 것은 색상이 낙엽과 구별이 안돼 시야에서 놓치면 찾기가 힘들어집니다.  본래 산행용 연장엔 빨간색 리본을 묶습니다. 산행할 땐 휴대폰부터 항상 눈에 잘 뛰는 색상으로 도배하시길..

[Baby Wild Deodeok and Snake Cave]

The scent of deodeok hits the tip of my nose. Wild boars will dig it all up and eat it later. Spring deodeok can be eaten whole, including the stem, after simply brushing off the soil.

While digging for deodeok, I discovered a snake cave. By evening, all the snakes going out for hunting will likely enter their dens through this hole. They will probably discover traces of an outsider having visited. It is the same for animals and humans alike.

Also, the reason I tied strings to the knife for gathering greens and the tools for digging deodeok is that their colors are indistinguishable from fallen leaves, making them difficult to find if they are lost from sight.

Traditionally, red ribbons are tied to hiking tools. When hiking, please make sure to cover everything, starting with your cellphone, with highly visible colors.
