This is the fishing rod I used to fish by the lake in my hometown to forget my pain after my father passed away 10 years ago, when I was heartbroken.
It is still sturdy and usable. It is a gift from a middle school classmate named Choi Hoon. It seems that housework in the countryside never ends, no matter how much I do. I'm scheduled to fish at least once before heading back to Seoul.
[Fishing and bait]
Bugs and insects struggle to catch people, while humans merely catch fish.
In my hometown, there are many "bait and snares set by outsiders to catch people." Therefore, I proceed cautiously, tapping on every stone bridge, and stick to my own path.
