[Don't be tardy for the class.] - 수업에 늦지 마세요
'tardy'는 '늦은', '지각한'이라는 의미로, 'late'와 같은 뜻입니다. 우리는 [Don't be late for the class: 수업에 늦지마라] 란 말엔 너무나 익숙해져 있지만 [Don't be tardy for the class]란 말엔 약간 생소함을 느낄 것라 생각합니다. 하지만 Don't be tardy도 Don't be late 만큼 자주 사용되고 있으니 함께 외워 두시면 좋을것 같네요 ^^ 기억하세요..Don't be tardy for your school in the morning.
* I was tardy again to the first class of this semester. 이번 학기 첫 수업부터 또 지각했어
* Just step on the juice so we won't be tardy for class. 속도를 더 내, 그래야 수업에 지각하지 않지
(step on the juice : 속도를 높이다)

A: May I go to the bathroom? (화장실좀 갔다 와도 되나요?)
B: Okay. But please hurry. (네.하지만 서두르세요)
A: I'll come back soon. (금방 갔다 오겠습니다.)
B: Don't be tardy. (늦지 마세요)
