Well, to me at least...

I hate this feeling of love, the one people call "the romantic kind"...
I'm somewhat of an observer of people and what they do,
and listen to stories they tell me of doomed relationships,
confusing scenarios, and utterly disgustingly mushy,
and yet to be destroyed relationships.
I never, ever heard of a relationship that actually had love, not sex,
not dependency, just pure nurturing love between two people.
To me, they only exsist in books, movies, and fairy tales, never in real life.
I wonder why people are even in relationships.
Shouldn't they already know what they are in for, or at least a hint?
People take no heed of some obvious facts and do stupid things.
They cheat in their relationships, they abuse the other mentally
and physically, scarring eachother until they are mentally insane.
Is this what you call love?
Even after a couple would recite their vows at the alter,
saying they will be One,
they still abuse eachother, thus hurting themselves.
This is why the rates of divorces and abortions are rising sky-high,
and people and children are suffering.
Is this what you call love?
It seems like war.
