태국 정부는 저지대의 주민들을 대피시키거나 물을 방출시키기 위해 수문을 개방하는 등 노력을 하고 있다.
이번 홍수로 태국의 경제는 크게 흔들리고 있으며, 세계 각국에서 지원을 해주고 있다.
